Paid Surveys FAQ

by dozeman
Following are the top 5 frequently asked questions we've encountered about Paid Surveys.

Q: I have heard of paid surveys, but I am still skeptical. Why would anyone pay me to take a survey?

A: The answer is very simple. Companies spend millions of dollars on advertising and, in order to promote their product or service properly, they must research the market and know whether or not it 's worth their time and money. This is where paid surveys come in. Before they spend millions of dollars on advertising, many companies would rather pay some participants to voice their thoughts and opinions on a product and/or it 's need.

Q: How will I know if a company offering online surveys is legitimate?

A: If a company promises you instant wealth, look out. The truth is that your own success is determined by the amount of time and effort that you put into the job and nothing more. A company cannot promise you overnight riches and, if they do, walk away. The only thing that will get you rich overnight is the lottery and everything else takes both time and work. Other signs that a paid surveys company may not be worth your time is if they have poor customer reviews and/or complaints lodged with the Better Business Bureau.

Q: I want to participate in paid surveys, but I'm not sure that I have the time. How long will it take?

A: The majority of paid surveys will take less than 15 minutes of your time and, best of all, you can complete them according to your schedule. Unlike a traditional job, you won't have a boss standing over your shoulder and waiting to growl at you if the work isn't done. If you don't have time, simply turn down the opportunity. You will still remain a member of the paid surveys website and will continue to receive surveys as they become available. When you work at home, you set the hours and you work as little or as much as you want.

Q: Will my income be taxable?

A: When you participate in online surveys regularly, you may need to pay taxes on the income. In most cases, you would be considered as self-employed and your income would be reported on Schedule C or Schedule C-EZ with the IRS. The marketing research company who provides the paid surveys will not typically withhold taxes, so it will be up to you to make sure that your income is properly reported as required.

Q: Will I be able to quit my day job and get rich with paid surveys?

A: Online surveys are not designed to make you rich, but they can provide you with a terrific source of supplemental income. Whether you need some extra money every month or you simply like having a few extra bucks in your wallet, participating in paid surveys may be well worth your time and effort. Because it lacks the common hassles associated with starting your own business and requires that you provide nothing more than your opinion, an opportunity to work with paid surveys may give your bank account a real boost.

How Paid Surveys Work

by dozeman
Paid surveys are designed to gather opinions and information from an individual and, in turn, offer a financial reward to those who are willing to take the time to complete the survey. Companies who want to improve their marketing strategy and/or product are the most likely candidates to offer a legitimate paid surveys work at home opportunity.

When it comes to online surveys, the best opportunities are those that use demographics to select their participants. This means that many paid surveys require the participant to first answer a series of pre-survey questions to ensure that they are a good fit for the program. If an individual is selected to participate in the actual survey based on the answers they provide, they will be compensated according to the terms of the program.

Online surveys are one of the simplest ways to earn money online because companies are always conducting marketing research. What this means for those who participate in paid surveys is a consistent stream of opportunities for sharing their likes and dislikes. Basically, you can use online surveys to get paid for your opinions.

As with any online work at home venture, there are both legitimate opportunities and there are those that are nothing more than a scam. It 's always important to know how to recognize these as every company will sound legitimate at first glance. When it comes to online surveys, there are two types of scams. The first type involves collecting money for a subscription and then providing outdated information or, in the second type, some companies may simply take your money and run.

So, how can you spot the difference between a genuine opportunity in online surveys and those that are not worth your time? You may be surprised to learn that it 's not as difficult as you may think. The best way to compare online surveys is to read product reviews and ratings from a trusted resource, which can provide you with some early insight and help you choose the best way for you to earn money from home in your spare time. Just like online auction feedback and retail product reviews, it 's essential that you take the time to read reviews relating to online surveys. Once you become familiar with experiences that others have undergone with a specific company, you will be better able to choose the right option to help you earn money from home.

If you still wish to conduct some independent research, you can check with the Better Business Bureau and find out if the paid surveys opportunity that you are considering has received any complaints from other consumers. Once you are ready to start working with online surveys, be sure to read the terms or agreement associated with the survey and look for information relating to payment. Because each paid surveys program is different, payment schedules will also differ.

Highest Paid Surveys Secrets

by paid_survey
Everyone wants the highest paying surveys, because these are the real money makers among paid surveys. So what 's the deal with these high paying surveys, the ones that are claimed to pay $75-$150? You rarely hear of anyone who actually takes these highest paid surveys so do they really exist? Or are the high paid surveys simply a creation of the paid survey companies made to get more people to register with them?

The truth is that these surveys do exist, but they aren't offered all the time or to just everyone that signs up to take paid surveys. I have taken several surveys that paid over $50 and even one that paid me $225! The key to getting these surveys is to make the market research companies know that you're important and that you're reliable.

Many people turn down the surveys for $1 or $2, but these are the surveys that create a track record for you with the survey company. When they need survey takers for the highest paying surveys who do you think they turn to? Don't miss out on the big paying surveys later by declining these smaller surveys now.

If you think you are going to sit down today and start taking paid surveys and make thousands of dollars a month your first few months you're wrong. More realistically you can make several hundred dollars in the first month doing paid surveys and will be able to slowly increase that as the survey companies begin to send you the higher paying surveys.

The people that have made a full time job from survey taking haven't done so overnight. They have taken the time to build a good reputation with the survey companies and they are known to be reliable. They will take surveys regardless of the size of the reward and that is why they get the highest paying surveys now.

Once you find the highest paying surveys the next trick is to actually get accepted to take them. If you've been taking surveys for any amount of time I am sure that you, like me, have missed out on some high paying surveys simply because you were too late to the game. If you're only checking your email once a day or less then you will very likely miss these high paying surveys because once the invitations go out they are snapped up pretty quickly. Keep an eye on your email if you want to take the highest paying surveys.

Another reason people miss out on the highest paying surveys is that they limit themselves to just a few survey companies. When they don't get that $75 survey after a few weeks they give up. Well, that won't work if you want high paying surveys. You've got to register with as many survey companies as possible, at least several dozen and a couple hundred is better.

Once you've registered make sure you're checking emails several times a day and for the first month or two respond to every survey possible. Once you've established yourself as reliable to the survey companies they will reward you with the highest paying surveys out there. I can tell you it 's quite a rush when you get that first $75 survey!

Get Paid For Survey? Sure, But Can You Make Real Money At It?

by Jorge Chavez
It is easy to get paid for surveys. There are thousands of new surveys being made every week. There is always demand for new survey participants. It is easy enough to get on survey makers' lists and start getting surveys to fill out.

The challenge is in making any money at it. You CAN make money with paid surveys, even very good money, if you go about it the right way.

When you first start out, nobody tells you that only about 20% or so of all the survey makers out there offer legitimate paid online surveys. Surveys that pay reasonable amounts, on time, in cash or equivalent. These are the ones you want. These are where your focus should be.

Another 40% are marginal. They sometimes pay or they pay low amounts. They may or may not be suitable for occasional use or fill-in work.

The remainder, again about 40%, are just time wasters. Want you to take surveys for free, try to sell you stuff. Or worse, sell your contact info and demographic info to disreputable sales groups that try to sell you everything under the sun, fill up your in-box with junk and trash mail.

If you want to get paid for surveys and make any real money at it, you have to focus on that 20% of survey makers that pay, from the get-go. Ideally you want to find a list of legitimate paid survey panels that has all of the 20% on it. Realistically, the best lists available will be those with more than 50% paying survey makers.

The object will be to get the best list you can, to start with. That way you start making money faster and have much less trash to sort out. You will still need to go through the process of culling out the less-desirables.

So where do you go to get the best list to start with? Look to the paid survey membership sites. Since you will be paying them, they will care about the quality of the list they give you. Avoid "free lists". These are being paid for by the 80% of less desirable survey makers in order to recruit new participants.

The 20% you want almost never pay recruiting fees. They will not likely be on any of the "free lists" where the ones offering the list make their livings off of those recruiting fees.

To get the best list, only deal with paid survey membership sites that have a strong money-back guarantee. If they won't guarantee their service, then you don't want to buy it! Look for an outside backer or underwriter of the guarantee, such as a bank or financial company like PayPal or ClickBank.

From this group with good guarantees, and there are at least 70 that will qualify, pick one with a low refund rate. Low refund rates mean happy clients who found that they could use the site 's list, get paid for surveys and make money. That is the group you want to be with.

Avoid any with high refund rates. High refund rates mean unhappy clients who used the list, found that they did not get paid for surveys, did not make money, were dissatisfied and demanded their money back. You may sympathize with them but don't join them! ;-)

When you locate the best paid survey membership site you can find, sign up with them. Get your copy of their list and immediately apply to ALL of the survey makers on that list. The most common startup mistake is to not apply to as many survey makers as possible. Sign up for all and put all on your probationary list.

When you get paid for surveys, then you can classify the payers as good and put them on your "A" list. The trashy ones will identify themselves as such and should be treated accordingly.
